Kensington Palace announced that Princess Kate will go abroad in the very next week to sponsor a project that is very close to her heart. The royal princess will visit West Wales, where she will spend a whole day with manufacturers of textiles to celebrate the heritage, creativity, and craftsmanship of Welsh textile manufacturers.
In order to inspire the next generation, the Princess of Wales passionately enlightened the British textile industry’s traditions and exceptional skills. As a part of the UK’s cultural and creative voice, Princess Kate is passionate about the importance of the British textile industry and its role.
Catherine’s forefathers were the landlords of the woollen manufacturer and merchant William Lupton & Co., which was founded in Leeds.
In prior years, the royal has visited textile manufacturers in Carmarthenshire, Suffolk, Kent, and County Tyrone.
Last week’s visit to Scotland by the Princess of Wales made the first part of a record-breaking tartan scarf. attempt to do hand-weaving by herself.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are offering the opportunity to learn traditional Scottish tartan-weaving skills when they go to Radical Weavers for their support.
