Rain Threat Drops Before Pakistan vs India T20 Clash
Colombo: The chances of rain have decreased ahead of the highly anticipated Pakistan-India clash in the T20 World Cup, raising hopes that fans will be able to enjoy the match without interruption. The marquee fixture of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 is set to take place today at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
While various forecasts earlier today predicted rain in the city, newer reports suggest the probability of precipitation is gradually diminishing. According to the Sri Lanka Meteorological Department, while skies are expected to remain overcast, there is no longer a significant threat of torrential rain during match hours.
Cricket fans remain optimistic for a full contest this Sunday. Commenting on the situation, Pakistan’s national team captain, Salman Ali Agha, stated during a press conference yesterday that while weather is beyond the team’s control, they have prepared contingency plans in case the match is shortened.
