Iconic Poet Syed Salman Gilani Passes Away At 74

Syed Salman Gilani a renowned poet, Naat-reciter and speaker, died on Saturday 21 February, the causes of his death is a long illness, his death news shared by his family

According to poet’s family Salman Gilani’s age is 74, had been battling heart and liver ailments and was undergoing treatment at Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

Salman Gilani was recognized by his literary and spiritual circles for his naat recitation and poetry. Those who appeared his assemblies frequently described his style as simple and easy to relate to.

He was also remembered by the title “Shair-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat,” In recognition of his devotional poetry.

His funeral prayers are scheduled to be held after Zuhr at Jamia Ashrafia, where relatives, students, admirers, and members of the literary community are expected to attend in large numbers.
