Oman FM Says Positive Ideas Shared in Iran-US Geneva Talks
Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi, the foreign minister of Oman, said the Iranian and American delegations in Geneva shared innovative and constructive ideas.
Al-Busaidi stated in a post on his X account on Thursday, “We’ve been exchanging creative and positive ideas in Geneva today, and now both US and Iranian negotiators have adjourned for a break.” continuieng, “We’ll resume later today. We hope to make more progress. ”
The third round of such talks is being conducted indirectly through the Omani foreign minister; the first two rounds were held in Geneva on February 17 and Muscat on February 6. Through Al Busaidi, the first two rounds were also carried out indirectly.
As Washington has increased its military posture in the area close to Iran’s borders and threatened to use force if the negotiations fail to result in a deal, Iran and the US are in the midst of nuclear talks.
“A fair, balanced, and equitable deal is achievable,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an exclusive interview with India Today on Wednesday before leaving Tehran.
