UAE President Visits Victims of Recent Strikes

In his first public statement since the escalation of the conflict with Iran, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (MBZ) declared that the nation is “in a time of war.” During a visit to those injured in recent strikes, the president emphasized the nation’s resilience, stating, “The UAE has thick skin and bitter flesh—we are no easy prey.”

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the safety of all, asserting, “We will carry out our duty towards our country, our people, and our residents, who are also part of our family.” Furthermore, he emphasized that while the UAE may be perceived as a beautiful and attractive destination, its resolve remains firm and it will continue to protect everyone within its borders.
