Hundreds of Iranian academics declare support for new Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei

More than 300 Iranian academics have announced their support for the newly appointed Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Mojtaba Khamenei.

The scholars said his leadership would strengthen the country and guide Iran toward building what they described as a “New Islamic Civilization.”

The statement was issued shortly after Iran’s Assembly of Experts selected Mojtaba Khamenei as the successor to Ali Khamenei. The former leader was reportedly killed during recent military tensions involving United States and Israel against Iran.

According to the scholars, Mojtaba Khamenei’s appointment represents a continuation of the revolutionary leadership established by Ruhollah Khomeini. They described the new leader as a knowledgeable religious scholar and experienced political figure who understands modern intellectual and scientific developments.

In their joint statement, the academics said they would support the new leadership with their research and academic work. They pledged to contribute toward strengthening Iran’s cultural and intellectual foundations.

The scholars also stressed the importance of developing knowledge based on Islamic principles and local expertise. They warned that Western-oriented policies had weakened some sectors of society and created vulnerabilities in cultural and economic areas.

Despite recent conflicts and the loss of senior leaders, the academics expressed confidence that Iran could rebuild and progress through unity and self-reliance. They said faith, national determination, and indigenous knowledge would help the country move forward.

The statement concluded with a pledge from the scholars to work toward a stronger and more prosperous Iran while maintaining what they described as the spirit of resistance.
