Ansarullah Calls Saudi Arabia Yemen’s ‘Number One Enemy’

A member of Yemen’s Ansarullah political bureau, Mohammed al-Farah, has described Saudi Arabia as Yemen’s “number one enemy,” accusing Riyadh of continuing its efforts to dominate and occupy Yemen while maintaining a crippling blockade against Sana’a. In a post on X, al-Farah said Saudi Arabia has mobilized its forces and allied groups inside Yemen to expand its control and protect its strategic interests.

Al-Farah said clashes in some parts of Yemen should be viewed as part of a broader confrontation with Saudi Arabia rather than as the main battle. He warned that developments on the ground would not replace attacks targeting Saudi interests, stressing that Yemen’s objectives remain ending what he described as the occupation, lifting the blockade and restoring the country’s wealth. He said these demands would remain unchanged throughout the confrontation.

The Ansarullah official also reaffirmed the group’s policy of responding to escalation with escalation, saying the “blockade against blockade” equation remains in effect. Referring to a recent Yemeni military attack on Saudi Aramco facilities in the Jizan region, al-Farah described it as a warning to Riyadh and those pursuing policies hostile to Yemen. He said the attack should serve as a lesson to those continuing what he characterized as aggression against the Yemeni people.
