US‑Israeli drone strike kills six civilians, including 6‑month‑old baby, in Iran

At least six civilians, including a six-month-old baby, were killed in a US-Israeli drone strike on a residential building in the Ilam province of western Iran. The attack, which took place early Saturday in the town of Ivan, also injured 31 people.

Tajuddin Salehiyan, deputy director of political and security affairs in the province, said the strike caused a massive explosion that damaged nearby homes and buildings. Rescue teams are working to recover those trapped under the rubble.

The Iranian Ministry of Health confirmed that ongoing attacks on civilian areas have injured more than 16,000 people, with 14,904 treated and discharged and 1,448 still in hospitals.

The attacks have been especially devastating for children. Among the casualties:

• 11 children under 5 years have been killed

• Over 200 children under 18 are among the martyrs

• 41 toddlers under 2 are among the wounded

• More than 1,100 injured are children under 18

Women have also been severely affected, with 220 killed and 2,500 injured in the strikes.

The attacks highlight the high toll on civilians, particularly children and women, in the ongoing conflict.
