Prince Harry-Meghan Markle Fire Back at New Royal

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have strongly pushed back against allegations made in a new royal biography Betrayal: Power, Deceit And The Fight For The Future Of The Royal Family, that claims was made that the late Queen once revealed to a friend, the Duchess of Sussex had “brainwashed” Harry.

According to a report in People, the couple’s spokesperson dismissed the accusations as “deranged conspiracy and melodrama,” criticising the book’s author for spreading unfounded narratives about their relationship and rift with the royal family.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes said on Saturday, 14 March, that Bower “crossed the line from criticism into fixation,” saying he publicly stated the monarchy “depends on actually obliterating the couple from our state of life.”

The statement continued, “He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met.

Those interested in facts will look elsewhere; those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.”

The book also alleges that Meghan‘s influence distanced Harry from his family and longtime friends, and questions aspects of the couple’s media ventures and finances.

Author Tom Bower claimed to royal, Prince Harry was seemingly “shocked” by the melodramatic fall from grace of Prince Andrew and concerned that the future king might ultimately take away all royal titles from the Sussexes.

In the meantime, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are likely to coming back to Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April as private citizens. The trip will mark their first visit to Australia since their 2018 royal tour.

During their visit, the couple is reportedly preparation to re-join with old friends and return to some of their earlier initiatives, including charity projects and speaking engagements.
