Iran will not surrender to bullies, says President Pezeshkian
President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran “will not surrender to bullies,” calling on the international community to condemn the US-Israeli act of aggression and make the attackers follow international law.
In a post on his X account on Monday, Pezeshkian mentioned his conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday, where he stressed that Iran did not start “this savage war.” He added that defending against aggression is a natural right that Iran has “mastered well.”
Pointing to the US military bases in the region, Pezeshkian said their use against Iran — aimed at harming Tehran’s relations with neighboring countries — must stop. He noted that peace and stability cannot happen while ignoring what he called Zionist-American aggression against Iran.
The president repeated that Iran would not bow to pressure and urged the world to condemn the attack and compel the aggressors to follow international laws. He also described the start of the war, based on false information and expansionist motives, as a “medieval act in the twenty-first century.”
Pezeshkian stressed that any talks about stopping aggression would be meaningless unless guarantees are given that no further attacks would target Iranian soil, reaffirming Iran’s firm stance against violations of its territory.
On February 28, the United States and the Israeli regime reportedly launched an unprovoked war on Iran, assassinating former Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several top military commanders. Iran responded immediately with missile and drone attacks on Israeli-occupied territories and US bases in the region.
