Iran Warns UK: British Lives at Risk Over US-Israel War

 Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warns Prime Minister Keir Starmer that permitting UK bases to be utilized in the attack would put British lives in jeopardy and claims that the majority of Britons oppose participation in the US-Israeli war on Iran.

In a post on X, Araghchi stated that “the vast majority of the British people do not want any part in the Israel-US war of choice on Iran.” “Ignoring his own People, Mr. Starmer is putting British lives in danger by allowing UK bases to be used for aggression against Iran,” he continued. He also restated Iran’s right to self-defense. Araghchi criticized the UK for permitting the US to utilize its military bases during a phone call with his British counterpart Yvette Cooper on Friday.

“These actions will certainly be regarded as participation in aggression and will be recorded in the history of relations between our two countries,” he stated. Iran’s top diplomat issued a warning, saying that helping the aggressors in their unlawful war against Iran will only increase tensions and “make the circumstance more complex.”

Additionally, Araghchi urged UK authorities to abstain from any collaboration with the US and the Israeli government, including giving “terrorist” TV stations a platform to promote hostile acts against Iranians.

Additionally, he denounced the UK and a few other nations for not denouncing the “dangerous and reckless” attack on the South Pars gas field while denouncing Iran’s retaliatory strikes on US-affiliated infrastructure in the area. Araghchi stated that Iran has respected the sovereignty of its neighbors, citing the country’s inalienable right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
