Pakistan Navy Inducts PNS Khaibar, Naval Chief Emphasizes Advanced Maritime Defense

Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, underscored the importance of a strong, balanced, and technologically advanced naval force during the induction ceremony of the second PN MILGEM-class corvette, PNS Khaibar, into the Pakistan Navy fleet.

Addressing the ceremony, the Naval Chief highlighted Pakistan’s strategic position along key maritime trade and energy routes, stressing the need for a capable navy to safeguard national interests and ensure secure Sea Lines of Communications (SLOCs).

He also referred to operational readiness during Marka-e-Haq, noting that Pakistan Navy maintained a position strong enough to counter major threats, delivering a clear message that any challenge to the country’s maritime interests would receive an appropriate response.

The Naval Chief further emphasized that Pakistan Navy is being equipped with state-of-the-art platforms and advanced technologies to enhance its operational capabilities. The induction of PNS Khaibar, along with the upcoming Hangor-class submarines, represents a major milestone in naval modernization, improving combat strength, flexibility, and strategic reach.

Concluding his remarks, Admiral Naveed Ashraf extended best wishes to the crew of PNS Khaibar and reaffirmed the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to defending the country’s maritime boundaries and securing its sea frontiers.
