US-Israel Airstrike Damages Sharif University in Tehran

As part of ongoing attacks on Iran’s academic and civilian facilities, the US-Israeli war coalition attacked Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology.

Reports state that the early Monday airstrike caused damage to the university’s mosque building.

Mohsen Dodangeh, the mayor of Tehran’s district 9, claimed that the strike also struck the university’s gas post, causing an explosion.

The gas supply has been temporarily shut off, he continued.

He mentioned that several households were evacuated in order to avoid any incidents because the explosion made the locals afraid.

Masoud Tajrishi, the head of Sharif University of Technology, also told IRNA that one of the scientific and cultural center’s buildings was the focus of the vicious US-Israel attack, which also damaged surrounding structures.

Sharif University is a scientific establishment that focuses on advancing both science and culture. It was harmed as a result of the cruelty of this country’s adversaries,” he continued.

He stressed that in order to set the stage for the nation to become a “big scientific power in the world,” the rebuilding of the university’s damaged sections will soon begin.

Tajrishi stated that there were no casualties from the strike and that investigations have begun to look into various aspects of the event.

He denounced such “cowardly” actions, which show how desperate the enemy is to fulfill their sinister objectives.
