Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel Respond to Viral Sedona Photos, Call It “Innocent Interaction”
Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel have addressed growing online speculation after viral photos showed them together at a luxury resort in Sedona, Arizona.
The images, first published by Page Six on April 7, 2026, captured Russini, 43, and Vrabel, 50, appearing close during a visit to the Ambiente resort. The photos reportedly showed the two holding hands, hugging, and spending time together in a rooftop bungalow, as well as relaxing near a pool and hot tub. The situation quickly sparked widespread discussion among NFL fans, especially given that both individuals are married.
According to reports, the pair were also seen having breakfast together and spending much of the day engaged in what appeared to be casual leisure activities.
In response to the backlash, Vrabel, who currently serves as head coach of the New England Patriots, dismissed the allegations. He described the situation as being misinterpreted and stated, “These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable. This doesn’t deserve any further response.”
Russini also clarified the circumstances, emphasizing that the photos lacked context. She explained that they were part of a larger group throughout the day and denied any suggestion of a private or romantic meeting. According to her, “The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”
Reports indicated that Russini was in Sedona on a hiking trip with friends, while Vrabel had visited the area for the day before returning to his hotel.
Both Russini and Vrabel are established figures in the NFL world. Russini, currently a senior insider at The Athletic, previously worked with ESPN and is known for breaking major league news. Vrabel, meanwhile, is a former NFL player turned coach who has led teams including the Tennessee Titans and now the Patriots.
Despite the online buzz, both have firmly denied any wrongdoing, maintaining that the interaction was purely professional and taken out of context.
