LAHORE: National-level cyclist and rower Natalia Khan has passed away at the age of 28, leaving Pakistan’s sports community in deep sorrow.
According to President of the Pakistan Cycling Federation, Syed Azhar Ali Shah, Natalia Khan had been suffering from a kidney-related illness for a long time and was under medical treatment. She also underwent surgery, but her condition did not fully improve, and her health continued to decline.
He further stated that despite continuous medical care, she could not recover and eventually passed away due to complications related to her illness.
Natalia Khan was known as a talented athlete who represented Pakistan in several national-level cycling and rowing competitions. She was admired for her dedication, discipline, and strong performance in sports.
Her sudden death has caused grief among fellow athletes, coaches, and the wider sports community, who remember her as a promising and hardworking sportswoman.
President of the Pakistan Cycling Federation Syed Azhar Ali Shah expressed deep sorrow over her death and extended condolences to her family. He said the entire federation is saddened by the loss of a young and talented athlete.
The sports community across the country continues to mourn her passing and pay tribute to her achievements and contributions to cycling and rowing in Pakistan.
