Police Reveal Identity of White House Shooting Attacker

The identity of the attacker at the White House dinner has been revealed as a former teacher.

According to the Reuters news agency, the suspect arrested in Saturday’s shooting at a White House correspondents’ dinner was identified by a law enforcement official as Cole Thomas Allen, a resident of Los Angeles.

The social media sites said that Cole, 31, is a Caltech graduate who is working as a part-time teacher and game developer.

The head of the District of Columbia Police Department said investigators believe the suspect was a guest at the Washington Hilton Hotel but have not determined a motive for the shooting.

Police officials say it is not yet known what the attacker’s target was, and an investigation will also be conducted into how the attacker got inside with the weapon.
