Denver Airport Takeoff Ends in Fatal Runway Collision
WASHINGTON: At Denver International Airport, a tragic incidence was informed late Friday night. a person had trespassed into the restricted runway area, collided with Frontier Airlines plane
Airport official reported, Flight 4345 of Frontier Airlines was in the process of takeoff around 11:19 pm when the airplane hit the individual on the runway. Airport officials also informed that the person had broken the refuge barrier crossing it by climbing over and come in the runway a few minutes prior to the accident.
The individual who died the scene is still being confirmed. Authorities believe the person may have been an airport employee.
Reports suggested an issue with one of the plane’s engines. The aircraft was brought to a standstill, and all the passenger on the board was hurried evacuated without harm.
According to official reports, there were 224 passenger and seven crew members at the Airbus A321 at time of incident, and 12 people sustained injuries in the incident, with five requiring hospital treatment.
The incident is under investigation by local Law enforcement and aviation authorities including the U.S. Department of Transportation, official reports.
The individual had deliberately crossed the perimeter fence into a restricted area, which resulted in the fatal accident moments later, confirmed by the Authorities
