Pakistan women’s cricket captain Fatima Sana delivered a record-breaking performance, scoring the fastest half-century in women’s T20 internationals as Pakistan women’s national cricket team defeated Zimbabwe women’s national cricket team by 133 runs in the third and final T20 match in Karachi, completing a 3-0 series sweep.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a massive total of 223 runs, powered by an explosive innings from Fatima Sana, who reached 50 runs in just 15 balls, setting a new world record in women’s T20 cricket.
She hit 10 fours and 2 sixes in a stunning display of aggressive batting and finished unbeaten on 62 runs, surpassing the previous record of New Zealand’s Sophie Devine, who had reached a fifty in 18 balls.
She stated through her performance dominance that Pakistan controlled the game from the beginning with strong batting contributions across the lineup.
It stated that:
“Fatima Sana struck 10 fours and two sixes in her explosive innings,” breaking the previous global record.
Other key contributions came from Saira Javed, who scored a steady 50 off 32 balls, while Ayesha Zafar added 45 runs and Muneeba Ali contributed 22 runs to the total.
Chasing a target of 224, Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 90 runs in 18 overs, as Pakistan dominated both batting and bowling departments to seal a comprehensive victory.
The win ensured a clean 3-0 series sweep for Pakistan women, marking one of their most dominant performances in recent T20 history.
