Iran Chief Negotiator Refuses US Deal Until Rights of Its People Are Fully Protected
TEHRAN: On Sunday Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf Iran’s top negotiator said, that Tehran will not agree to take any contract with the United States except it protects the rights of the people on our country
“We will not approve any deal until we are sure that the rights of the Iranian people are fully protected.” He also added that Iranian negotiators “do not trust the enemy’s words or promises,” he said.
His remarks were made while Iran and the United States continue talks and swap proposals for a possible agreement to stop the war that started on February 28 and affected the region.
The New York Times and Axios reported on Saturday, that US President Donald Trump had sent a new proposal to Iran with stringent conditions, but details were not clear.
