King Charles Faces Difficult Family Decision

A rare clash of royal events, King Charles is facing a rare scheduling clash this weekend, as two important royal events are set to take place on the same day.

Trooping the Colour Set for June 13

In London, on June 13The monarch is expected to take part in the annual Trooping the Colour celebrations, it marked a traditional royal ceremony that commemorates the monarch’s official birthday. The event contain a military parade, royal ceremonies, and the customary flypast over Buckingham Palace.

Family Funeral on the Same Day

On the celebrations day of annual Trooping the Colour, coincidently clashed with king’s cousin and a close friend of the royal family Lady Pamela Hicks who served as a lady-in-waiting to Queen Elizabeth II, funeral day, held in Oxfordshire on the afternoon of June 13, about an hour away from London.

King May Attend Both Events

As per reporters claim that King Charles may try to be present at both events on the same day. The royal celebration is likely to finish around 1 p.m., giving the King time before the funeral starts at 3 p.m.

Remembering Lady Pamela Hicks

A respected member of royal circles, and well known for her strong relationship with King Charles and his late parents Lady Pamela Hicks who passed away at the age of 97

India Hicks daughter of Lady Pamela Hicks, publicized the news in a heartfelt social media post, saying “My mother died peacefully today. Whilst there is no tragedy in the death of a 97-year-old who has lived a full life I know grief will be unavoidable, lurking around waiting for me, but today I am simply grateful that she was my Mother.”

India described Lady Pamela as wonderful company and said she maintained her grace and warmth until the very end.
