IRGC: Iran Stronger Than Ever, Warns of Decisive Response to Any Aggression

12 June, 2026 13:35

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that Iran is currently in its strongest, most prepared, and most deterrent position to date, claiming full intelligence superiority over enemy activities and stating it remains on high alert to deliver a swift, forceful, and regret-inducing response to any threat or miscalculation.

The IRGC issued this statement on Thursday, marking the anniversary of Operation True Promise 3 and the Second Imposed War, which was launched by the US and Israel on February 28.

Commemorating June 13 (23 Khordad), the IRGC stressed that Iran, building on lessons learned from the Sacred Defense era of the 1980s and the recent 12-day and 40-day imposed wars, continues to hold complete intelligence superiority over enemy operations.

The IRGC statement read: “Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran, drawing on the valuable experiences of the Sacred Defense and the historic battles of the 12-day and 40-day imposed wars, stands in a stronger, more prepared, and more deterrent position than ever before… With full awareness of the enemy front’s movements, we remain with fingers on the trigger, ready to deliver a decisive, immediate, painful, and regret-inducing response to any threat, aggression, encroachment, or potential miscalculation by the enemy.”

This declaration follows Iran’s recent retaliatory operations against US forces. Over the past day, the IRGC and Iranian military reportedly conducted joint strikes on 18 US military sites in the region, including bases in Kuwait and Bahrain. The Iranian Army also targeted the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain using explosive drones, hitting radar and communication systems.

In a separate action, the IRGC fired 12 ballistic missiles at the US-operated al-Azraq airbase in Jordan, damaging facilities housing F-35, F-15, and F-16 jets along with command centers, in what was described as a direct response to US missile strikes that breached the ceasefire.

Iranian forces have also shut down the Strait of Hormuz to all shipping due to regional instability stemming from US actions, with the IRGC Aerospace Force commander cautioning that any threat to the waterway would turn the region into “hell” for aggressors.

The IRGC characterized the calculations of the US and Israel during the recent wars as severely flawed, crediting the Supreme Leader’s swift leadership decisions for maintaining command continuity and praising Operation True Promise 3 for exposing weaknesses in Israeli and American defenses while shifting regional power dynamics toward Iran.

Separately, Iran has warned of a “history-making” response should the US president take any uncalculated action on Iranian territory, stating that any such move “not just on Kharg Island but anywhere in the country” would trigger consequences “that will be recorded in history.”

The IRGC also honored fallen commanders and soldiers, saying their sacrifices have strengthened national unity and resolve.

Key outcomes highlighted by the IRGC include the enemy’s failure to meet its objectives, a shift in deterrence balance favoring Iran, enhanced international standing for the Islamic Republic, and a surge in national pride and unity.

The IRGC’s message reflects Iran’s firm stance against repeated provocations and ceasefire violations by the US and Israel, with recent strikes reaffirming that future miscalculations will be met with strong and immediate retaliation.

Iran maintains it seeks peace through strength while criticizing US-led policies that it says destabilize the region, and reaffirms its commitment to defending sovereignty and supporting allied resistance movements.

Separately, a senior Iranian military spokesman stated that Iran’s defense capabilities are now more powerful than at the outset of the recent US-Israeli conflict, dismissing claims of weakened defenses or depleted missile stocks.

The US and Israel had launched their war against Iran on February 28, prompting Iran’s Armed Forces to respond with 100 waves of retaliatory strikes under Operation True Promise 4, using ballistic and hypersonic missiles along with drones against American bases in West Asia and Israeli positions in occupied territories.

A ceasefire brokered by Islamabad took effect on April 8, forty days into the conflict. However, initial talks between Tehran and Washington failed, with the US subsequently imposing a naval blockade on Iran. Since then, repeated violations by both Israel and the US have led to renewed Iranian retaliatory action.
