Trump Claims Iran Requested Doha Meeting as Oil Prices Fall

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran requested a meeting, which has been scheduled to take place in Doha on Tuesday speaking to reporters, Trump said the proposed talks came at Iran’s request, though Iranian authorities have not publicly confirmed the meeting.
Trump also pointed to a sharp decline in global crude oil prices, saying they had fallen to around $69 per barrel. He added that oil prices continue to trend downward and are now below the levels seen before the start of the recent Iran-Israel conflict.
The US president said the drop in oil prices reflects improving market conditions despite recent regional tensions. However, no official details have been released regarding the reported Doha meeting or its expected agenda.
The Iranian officials have yet not confirmed about the meeting and Trumps claims.
