Pakistan and Italy Sign €20 Million Concessional Loan Agreement

Pakistan and Italy have signed a €20 million concessional loan agreement aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s technical and vocational education and training systems. The agreement was signed by Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Muhammad Humair and the Italian ambassador.

According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the project will focus on improving skills development programs, particularly for farmers and agricultural extension workers, to enhance their capacity and productivity.

The initiative also aims to support the development of agricultural crops and strengthen agri-food value chains. Officials said the project will combine Italian agricultural expertise with Pakistan’s vast agricultural potential to promote modernization and sustainable growth in the sector.
