1,000 Days of Gaza Genocide: Israeli Media Admits No Decisive Victory Despite Prolonged Offensive

As Israel’s military campaign in Gaza entered its 1,000th day, Israeli media outlets acknowledged that the country has failed to achieve a decisive victory despite nearly three years of continuous warfare across multiple fronts.

According to Israel’s Channel 13, the prolonged conflict has imposed enormous human, economic and psychological costs on Israel while failing to deliver the strategic objectives repeatedly promised by its leadership.

The report also stated that Iran has emerged in a stronger international position and that its economy is showing signs of recovery despite regional tensions. It further claimed that the handling of the confrontation with Iran has strained strategic ties between Israel and the United States.

Israel’s Channel 12 said promises of a “complete victory” have remained unfulfilled since October 7, 2023. The broadcaster reported that Iran’s political system remains intact, its nuclear programme has not been dismantled, and Israel has paid a heavy price during military operations in Lebanon.

Israeli news website Zman Yisrael described Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s security doctrine as a strategic disaster unprecedented in Israel’s history, arguing that the government’s policies have weakened Israel’s long-term security position.

Meanwhile, Palestinian resistance groups issued a joint statement marking 1,000 days of what they described as the ongoing genocide in Gaza. The groups said Israel had failed to achieve its declared military objectives or forcibly displace Palestinians from their homeland despite the prolonged military campaign.

The statement rejected any form of foreign oversight of Palestinian affairs, stressing that the future governance of Gaza should remain an exclusively Palestinian matter. It also called on the technocratic committee to immediately assume its responsibilities in Gaza and launch a comprehensive national dialogue aimed at establishing an inclusive political framework representing all Palestinians.
