Pezeshkian: Iran Seeks Regional Peace, Rejects Escalation

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran does not seek instability in the region, stressing that aggressive actions by the United States and Israel have damaged regional peace and stability. He said civilians, including the Supreme Leader and children at a school in Minab, were killed in the attacks, while vital civilian infrastructure was also destroyed.

Pezeshkian said Iran has not taken any action outside the framework of international law and has consistently sought to improve relations with neighboring countries. He warned that Iran’s adversaries are seeking to create internal divisions and instability in order to undermine the Islamic system, adding that the current confrontation is more complex than previous conflicts.

The Iranian president called for a focused approach based on a clear mission and specific objectives, while stressing the importance of maintaining public support. He warned that distancing the people from the government would cause harm and urged state institutions to avoid political and partisan considerations in their efforts to strengthen harmony between the government and the public.
