ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned what it described as an unprovoked attack by Israeli occupation forces on Abu al-Duhur Airbase in Idlib, Syria, warning that such actions could further threaten peace and stability in the region.
In a statement, Pakistan termed the attack a flagrant violation of international law, stressing that repeated military actions against sovereign states risk aggravating an already volatile regional situation.
Pakistan expressed its unwavering solidarity with the people of Syria and reiterated its support for the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, peace and prosperity.
Islamabad emphasised that respect for national sovereignty and territorial integrity remains a fundamental principle of international relations and must be upheld by all states.
Pakistan also urged the international community to play its role in preventing further violations of international law and ensuring accountability for actions that contribute to instability in the region.
Islamabad stressed that continued military actions cannot be allowed to undermine regional peace and called for greater international efforts to protect sovereignty and promote stability.
