US signs 100 years concession oil deal with Venezuela

The US ia signing a huge oil deal in Caracas on Wednesday that grants a US-led company 100-year concessions over 17 oilfields in Venezuela.
It amounts to a 65 billion barrels of crude. That equates to over a fifth of the country’s proven oil reserves.

US President Donald Trump said it the biggest oil deal in world history.The interim Venezuelan President, Delcy Rodríguez, said the agreement was “historic.” She further said it would generate $100bn (£74bn) in investment and more than $200bn in tax revenue.
