Meghan and Harry Face Criticism Over Lavish New Home Plans
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly sparked controversy with their lavish demands for a new UK home, with their alleged wish list including a nine-bedroom estate, a private film studio and extensive land.
Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield criticised the couple’s reported preferences, arguing that they appear to contradict their previous complaints about royal life. Speaking with Fox News co-host Ainsley Earhardt, Schofield said the Sussexes had spent years describing life within the royal family as overwhelming and restrictive.
“The Sussexes have spent years telling us how suffocating royal life was,” she said, claiming their latest house-hunting plans reveal a contradiction between their words and actions.
Schofield also questioned why the couple would want what she described as a “palace-style estate.”
Harry and Meghan, who live in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are reportedly considering a UK property as they begin another chapter between Britain and the US.
The couple reportedly flew to Britain on a private jet on August 26 and are now looking for a country home. Meghan is said to want a property offering many of the luxuries available at their California residence, including a film studio.
Harry, meanwhile, is reportedly focused on privacy, seeking a large estate with plenty of land and no public footpaths crossing the property.
