Security Forces Kill 12 Indian-Sponsored Terrorists in Kalat Operation: ISPR

QUETTA: Security forces killed 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Kalat district of Balochistan on September 2, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operation was launched after intelligence reports indicated the presence of terrorists affiliated with what Pakistan describes as the Indian proxy Fitna al-Hindustan in the area.

During the operation, security forces identified and monitored a terrorist hideout before carrying out a prompt and targeted action.

According to ISPR, all 12 Indian-sponsored terrorists present at the hideout were killed in the operation.

A cache of ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) was also located and destroyed at the site, the military’s media wing said.

Sanitisation Operation Underway

ISPR said sanitisation operations are continuing in the surrounding area to identify and eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorists who may still be present.

The military reiterated its resolve to continue counterterrorism operations against foreign-sponsored and supported terrorist networks across Pakistan.

According to ISPR, the campaign is being conducted under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

Security forces and law-enforcement agencies will continue operations at full pace to eliminate the threat of terrorism and protect Pakistan’s national security and territorial integrity.
