Ishaq Dar, Hakan Fidan Discuss Makkah Defence Alliance Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Türkiye Hakan Fidan and discussed ways to further advance cooperation under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

Ishaq Dar thanked Hakan Fidan for hosting the inaugural meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement in Istanbul.

The two foreign ministers followed up on the understandings reached during the meeting and discussed measures to further strengthen cooperation under the Makkah Defence Alliance.

They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and discussed matters of mutual interest, as well as opportunities to enhance cooperation at multilateral fora.

Both sides agreed to remain in close contact and continue coordination on matters of mutual interest.
