Salman Khan Speaks Out Against Trolling While Defending Katrina Kaif

Salman Khan addressed online trolling during this weekend’s Bigg Boss 20 episode and trolling and defended his longtime friend and co-star Katrina Kaif. He criticized the growing trend of trolling celebrities for their looks, weight and private lives.

Katrina recieve criticism from some social media users after making an appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganpati celebrations in Mumbai. Following the birth of her first child, the actress received remarks about her look and weight on social media, while many others stood up for the actress.

Salman discussed the issue while addressing an incident involving contestants during the week. YouTuber ScoutOP had reportedly asked his online gaming and YouTube followers to “khatam kardo isko” (finish her off), referring to Arishfa Khan after an argument during a task.

While condemning the comment, Salman pointed out how people on social media often target celebrities because of their appearance while earning money through online platforms.

He noted that public figures are regularly criticized over their bodies, weight, looks, families, career setbacks and personal milestones, including motherhood.

“Kisi ko neecha dikha ke aap paise kama rahe hain,” Salman said, questioning the idea of making money by putting another person down.

He further said, “aap apni upbringing dikha rahe ho,” suggesting that such comments say more about the person making them than the celebrity being targeted.

Salman’s comments come as online trolling and the constant scrutiny of celebrities’ appearances continue to attract attention on social media.
