Yami Gautam, Aditya Dhar Celebrate Article 370’s National Awards Success

The 72nd National Film Awards, Actress Yami Gautam and her filmmaker husband Aditya Dhar celebrated a major achievement after received three awards for their film Article 370 for Best Feature Film, Best Actress and Best Music Direction (Songs). The Awards ceremony was held in Ekta Nagar at Kevadia, Gujarat on Tuesday.

The film’s best actress award secured by Yami Gautam for her outstanding performance, on the other hand, her husband seared the Best Feature Film award. The couple stepped in the ceremony together, both dressed in stylish black outfits.

At the ceremony, Aditya was questioned about his forthcoming film Dhurandhar. But, he chose to keep the center on Article 370 and said, “We are here for Article 370. We’ll discuss Dhurandhar, hopefully, if we come next year also. But today, it’s all about Article 370.”

Released in 2025, Dhurandhar will be eligible for consideration at next year’s National Film Awards. The film franchise has reportedly earned around ₹3,000 crore at the box office.

The actress also sharing her inner feeling about winning the National Award, according to her, it’s such a major achievement of her in her career. She said, “It feels great. This is the biggest validation for any artiste. It’s the highest honour that’s presented to you by your country.”

Yami further said that she was still trying to take in the moment, saying she felt like a newcomer feeling something very special. Yami also accredited Article 370 for giving her a chance to discover the type of work she had desired to do all over her career.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, Article 370 stars Yami as field agent Zooni Haksar. The film also features Priyamani, Arun Govil, Kiran Karmarkar and others. It follows a secret mission set against rising tensions in Kashmir ahead of a major constitutional decision.
