Ayesha Omar Urges Better Mental Health Support After Peshawar Incident

Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar has shown concern over a disturbing grave desecration case reported in Peshawar called for better access to mental health service.

The actress too her Instagram and shared a story about the reported incident and pointing out the importance of addressing psychological trauma, urged that people in whole Pakistan should have easier access to qualified psychiatric and psychological support.

The actress also urged schools, colleges and workplaces to make professional mental health services more accessible. She also expressed that institutes should offer therapy and support from trained professionals along with other procedures of aid.

Ayesha suggestion came after the arrest of a 19-year-old Afghan national in Peshawar. As police reported that, the suspect was allegedly caught exhuming the body of a girl in the Shaikhan area.

Officials also said the suspect had allegedly disturbed several other graves covering the bodies of girls. Police are currently to inspect the case, which has generated distress and condemnation on social media.

Ayesha Omar has before spoken about expressive wellbeing and the significance of seeking help during tough times. Her latest comments have once again strained attention to the need for qualified mental health professionals in schools, colleges and workplaces.
