American journalist body asks India to release journalists in IOJK (illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir).
The U.S.based American independent body, Committee to Protect Journalists has made this demand.

In this regard, they have sent a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The CPJ asked India to immediately release journalists detained in different jails of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Specially it demanded release of Kashmiri journalist Asif Sultan who is in jail since last two years.
The Committee demanded Indian government to uphold the commitments to freedom of press.
It noted that events in Kashmir are of public interest and covering them is public service not crime.’
On the other hand, Indian military siege in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has resulted in loss of 1168 crore rupees to the tourism industry of the territory.
According to news agency Kashmir News Observer, there has been a decline of 34 percent in tourist footfall since August 5th last year.
Meanwhile, APHC leader and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Social Peace Forum, Advocate Devinder Singh Behl has strongly condemned the BJP India government.
He slammed the BJP India govt for the issuance of domicile certificates to non-Kashmiris on fast-track basis.
Furthermore, he said that India continues to remain engaged in changing the demography in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Advocate Devinder Singh Behl accused India of doing all these illegal things under a well-thought-out plan.
