Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain referred that it is being said now the PM would conduct interview.

However, Fawad emphasized this as a common practice to hold meeting before appointments on such positions.

In a tweet, the minister said that a certain group wanted to play a game on this issue, but it has failed in its designs.

Furthermore, he announced completion of appointment process of the new Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) shortly.

The minister also underlined it highly inappropriate to make such a process controversial.

However, Minister Fawad himself tweeted yesterday about completion of consultation between the PM and Pakistan Army Chief on new DG ISI.

According to media reports, PM wanted to retain incumbent DG ISI for some time.

But, a journalist claimed his source told him now three news names have come to replace the DG ISI.

Interestingly, ISPR has already issued press release of new DG ISI.

But, PM has not reportedly signed notification of that new appointment so far.

Therefore, analysts and critics have smelt a rat behind this development.

Uncertainty continues to envelope the country due to delay in issuance of formal notification of new appointment.
