Army Chief vows Pakistanis will fight war against Covid 19 as one nation. 


Chief of the Armty Staff (COAS)
General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed this resolve tonight.
According to DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar, COAS vowed that all Pakistanis will fight war against Covid-19 as one nation. 
DG ISPR quoted his statement on his official twitter account.

Moreover, the COAS said that Pakistan Army is cognizant of the challenges which Coronavirus posed to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.

He said Pakistan Army will never leave the people of Gilgit-Baltistan alone in these challenging times. 

Meanwhile, Gen Bajwa said that Pakistan Army is working closely with Gilgit-Baltistan government and civil administration to provide them all possible support.
The army chief said that additional resources are being arranged on war footing.
Earlier, DG ISPR had appealed for national cohesion to prevent Coronavirus outbreak.
 

Director General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar said while addressing a media briefing in Rawalpindi on Monday.

He said it is time to take hard decisions at common, individual and societal level as the outbreak of coronavirus could be coped with national cohesion and integration

Special Corps Commanders Conference

Meanwhile, the top brass also had reviewed countrywide spread of COVID-19.

They deliberated army’s readiness to assist civil administration to contain the pandemic.

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had presided over the conference in Rawalpindi.

Notably, Corps Commanders participated through video link from respective Corps Headquarters.
