Yamaha confirms shutdown of bike manufacturing in Pakistan

Yamaha has officially announced that it is shutting down its motorcycle manufacturing operations in Pakistan, marking the end of a significant chapter in the country’s two-wheeler industry.
The company shared this news with a message full of gratitude, thanking all the riders who trusted and chose Yamaha as their companion on the roads.
Since its entry into Pakistan’s motorcycle market, Yamaha has built a loyal base of customers who admired its style, performance, and durability. Models like the Yamaha YBR 125 and YBZ 125 became popular choices, especially among young riders who wanted something different from traditional brands.
However, due to increasing costs, rising competition, and economic challenges, the company has now decided to stop production in Pakistan.
Although Yamaha is closing its manufacturing operations, the company has reassured customers that it will not leave them unsupported. Yamaha confirmed that after-sales service centers will continue to operate, and spare parts will remain available. This means existing riders can still rely on Yamaha for maintenance and repairs without concern.
In its farewell note, Yamaha expressed deep appreciation to its loyal customers, saying their trust and support were the driving force behind the brand’s success in the country. The company emphasized that even though production is ending, Yamaha’s bond with its riders will remain strong.
The announcement is a big change for Pakistan’s motorcycle industry, where Yamaha had become a notable player alongside Honda and Suzuki.
While the brand’s local chapter may be closing, Yamaha’s global reputation as a trusted motorcycle maker continues, and its legacy will live on through the thousands of bikes already on Pakistan’s roads.
