Sindh Announces Summer and Winter Holidays Schedule for 2026

KARACHI, March 2, 2026 – The Sindh Education Ministry has officially approved the summer and winter holidays for educational institutions across the province. The decision was taken during a steering committee meeting chaired by Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah.

The ministry also approved the academic calendar for the 2026–27 school year, including admission timelines and examination schedules.

Summer and Winter Holidays 2026

According to the approved schedule, summer holidays will begin on June 1, 2026, and continue until July 31, 2026.

Winter holidays will start from December 21, 2026, and end on December 31, 2026.

All public and private schools in Sindh will follow the same holiday timetable.

Academic Year to Start from April 1

The new academic year 2026–27 will officially begin on April 1, 2026.

Admissions for students from grade 9 and below will open from March 1 to March 31, 2026. Schools have been directed to complete the admission process within this period.

Exams Schedule for Grades 9 and 10

Board examinations for grades 9 and 10 will be conducted from March 30 to April 15, 2026.

The result of grade 10 will be announced on June 1, 2026, while the result for grade 9 will be declared on June 15, 2026.

Schedule for Grades 11 and 12

Admissions for grade 11 under the Central Admission Policy will open from June 1 to the last week of July 2026.

Examinations for grades 11 and 12 will take place between April 15 and April 30, 2026.

The result of grade 12 will be announced on June 15, 2026, and grade 11 results will be declared on July 1, 2026.

Promotion Policy for Primary Classes

To simplify the academic process, students from grades 1 to 3 will be promoted to the next class without examinations.

Meanwhile, exams for grades 4 to 8 will be conducted from March 1 to March 15, 2026.

Officials said the approved academic calendar aims to ensure timely completion of exams and smooth progression into the next academic session.
