‘Bado Badi’ girl accuses InDrive rider of harassment

Wajdan Rao, widely recognized for her appearance in Chahat Fateh Ali’s hit song Bado Badi, has come forward with serious allegations against an InDrive bike rider, accusing him of harassment.

According to Rao, she had booked an InDrive ride as part of her routine travel, but upon arrival, the rider allegedly made inappropriate remarks. She claimed that he asked if she was interested in a body massage. Maintaining her composure, she engaged him in conversation while secretly recording the exchange.

Rao stated that the rider introduced himself as a masseur, claiming to provide full-body massage services for young women. He allegedly inquired whether she had a private space or if she could invite him to her home.

Sharing her ordeal on social media, Rao described the encounter as distressing, saying she felt unsafe throughout the ride. She also criticized the ride-hailing company, calling for stricter vetting processes for drivers. Rao argued that such incidents reflect a lack of responsibility on the company’s part and put women at risk.

The incident has sparked widespread concern over women’s safety in ride-hailing services, with many urging companies to implement stricter background checks and monitoring mechanisms.

Rao has since filed an official complaint with the police and is pursuing legal action against the accused rider. Her decision to speak out has garnered significant support, with celebrities and social media influencers expressing solidarity and emphasizing the need for stronger safety measures.
