Adnan Siddiqui Takes a Jibe at His Instagram Account Ban in India

Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui responded with humor after his Instagram account was blocked in India, amid the ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India following the Pahalgam incident. Taking to social media, Siddiqui compared his blocked account to Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, who was captured by Pakistan in 2019 after his jet was shot down.

Sharing a screenshot of his Instagram account, Adnan Siddiqui posted a witty remark:
“Mera Insta to Abhinandan ban gaya… border cross kia, pakra gaya… lekin ye India bhool gaya k ABHI TO PARTY SHURU HUI HAI… Tain ta ta tain tain ta ta tain.”
(Translation: “My Insta has turned into Abhinandan—caught as soon as it crossed the border. But India forgot, the party has just begun.”)

This playful jibe comes after several Pakistani celebrities found their Instagram accounts blocked by the Indian government, including singers Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, and Asim Azhar, as well as cricketers Shahid Afridi and Babar Azam. Notable actors like Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan, Mawra Hocane, Sanam Saeed, and Sajal Aly were also affected.

While Siddiqui’s post added some humor to the situation, it also highlights the ongoing cultural tensions between the two neighboring countries. The actor’s playful comment seems to signal that, despite the blocks, his online presence is far from over.
