Irshad Bhatti Responds to Controversy Over Meera Podcast

Irshad Bhatti senior journalist and host currently facing backlash over his recent interview with actress Meera. The interview went viral on social media which heated discussion in showbiz industry.

Following interview controversy, it was conducting in the promotional purpose of Meera’s upcoming film ‘Psychopath’, but during chat, Irshad Bhatti asked about Meera’s personal and past controversies, which lead online debates.

In his response, Irshad Bhatti said the questions raised in podcast are not new. These questions have been asked from her a thousand times and he had informed her that she will be asked about such topics. She was okay with it and when she left, she told him that she will answer such questions again in the next podcast.

He further said that placing the interview was difficult, as Meera had primarily agreed on multiple events and did not appear for recording. He added that Meera was paid for the interview, stating that it was her due right, as the conversation was not merely a promotional segment for her film but a wider personal interview.

The journalist also said that only selected clips from the interview were circulating on social media, leading to a partial perception of the conversation. He urged people to watch the full podcast before forming opinions on the matter.
