US Envoy Shares Love for Pakistani Food, Cricket and Weddings

In Pakistan, Natalie Baker (US Charge D’ Affaires) shared her experiences living in the country, she encouraging the hospitality of Pakistan, our food, cricket, culture and wedding traditions.

U.S. Embassy’s official Instagram account posted an interview video, in which Natalie said, she enjoys hanging out with friends and visit various regions of Pakistan to experience new places and cultures.

Baker shared that her interest in cricket developed since coming to Pakistan although she is still trying to understand its rules.

In response to the question, what Americans should better understand about Pakistan, she emphasized that Pakistani people’s hospitality is what Americans should most recognize.

Natalie mentioned about Pakistani meals, she especially fond of palak paneer and dal when it comes to food.

She mentioned about Pakistani weddings, stating that she particularly likes the celebrations and the exciting surroundings. She said mehndi, barat, and walima together create a beautiful, almost magical experience to witness.
