Alia Bhatt Praises Courage of CJP Protesters Amid Bollywood Silence Debate

Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has extended her support to students protesting across the country, her support comes as several celebrities have also spoken out in solidarity with the protesting students.

The Alpha actress voiced her support on Instagram, shared a statement in which she applauded the young generation for their courage, determination, and resilience. Her remarks followed similar statements from Bollywood personalities such as Salman Khan, Shabana Azmi, and Naseeruddin Shah, in extending support to the protesting students.

“The last few days have broken my heart and then mended it, again and again, with hope.” She wrote on the statement.

The Highway actress heads off the fights and losses behind every student taking part in the protests. She said, every student who are a part of this protest represent not only themselves but also also their families and everyone who has supported them in their journey.

Alia also praised the students’ courage and urged people to listen to the younger generation, who will shape the country’s future.

“For the students. By the students. The future is theirs. Jai Hind,” she concluded.

Her comments come as some Indian film personalities have voiced solidarity with the movement. Some stars have spoken out online, while others have reportedly joined the protesters on the ground.
