Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that fabricated claims on the legality of the Pakistan-Afghan border cannot change the facts.

The Foreign Office spokesperson while reacting to the statement of the Afghan Interim Deputy Foreign Minister said that the facts of geography, history and international law related to the Pakistan-Afghan border cannot be changed.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch further said that the Afghan side should address Pakistan’s real security concerns

It should be noted that recently Afghan Deputy Interim Foreign Minister Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, in a statement, said that Afghanistan would never recognize the Durand Line as a border.

The Afghan leader made the statement while addressing a gathering in Logar on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Soviet Union from Afghanistan. Sher Mohammad Abbas Astankzai said that the land of Afghanistan is still on the other side of the line. We do not accept the principle of getting visas by Afghans to enter Afghanistan. We have never accepted the Durand Line and will continue to do so, he added.
