Google tribute to Perween Rahman on 65th birthday

Islamabad -Google paid a tribute to late Pakistani human rights activist Parveen Rehman with a doodle on her 65th birthday on Saturday.
Legendary activist is being remembered on her 65th birth anniversary across the country, while
Google remembers activist on what would’ve been her 65th birthday with some beautiful artwork that depict her best works.
Parween Rahman was the director of the Orangi Pilot Project, which is a development NGO based in coastal city.
She has been given numerous accolades for her achievements, notably the Sitara-e-Shujaat (Order of Bravery award), and her efforts have played an instrumental role in defining how Pakistan settlements are developed today.
On March 13, 2013, Perween was shot dead by four gummen on her way home from work and joint interrogation teams (JITs) that probed her murder found roles of militant and political groups behind her murder.
She was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Her death was mourned across Pakistan.
Eight years after her assassination, civil society continues to revere the struggle of the noted urban planner cum social worker.
