Govt work for telecom and broadband services to underserved areas of the country.

Minister for Information Technology Amin-ul-Haq said, while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad on Wednesday.

He said that the the government has accelerated efforts to provide telecommunication and broadband services to the underserved areas of the country.

He also mentioned investing Rs 31 billion during the last two and a half years to improve these services in the country.

The Minister further referred to establishment of Information Technology Park in Islamabad on an area of 15 acre.

He said completion will take place in three years.

Moreover, he said that work on Karachi IT Park would begin soon.

The Minister for Information Technology said the establishment of IT Parks will further bolster our IT related exports.

He further said whilst penetration of 4G services is being increased, the 5G wireless technology will be introduced by the end of this year.
