International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism being observed today.

Pakistan has reaffirmed it condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestation.

In a statement, Foreign office spokesperson underlined the needs to root out terrorism from the world.

He further said the use of terrorism as an instrument of state policy by some regional countries cannot be allowed to continue at the cost of peace, security and prosperity of the region.

He said Pakistan especially honours the victims of terrorism in the country, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Palestine and other parts of the world.

The spokesperson said Pakistan has sacrificed over 80,000 lives over last two decades in its relentless struggle against terrorism.

He said the oppressed people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir deserve our special tribute.

Because, they made unparalleled sacrifices of over 90 thousand innocent people.

FO spokesperson said those Kashmiris sacrificed,  fighting the worst form of state-terrorism, the Indian security forces unleashed.

Moreover, he said the international community has a moral and legal obligation to take effective measures to suppress this terrorism, beyond narrow political interests and parochial geo-political agendas.
