Lahoris confronted Shehbaz Sharif in his public campaign for general elections

Lahoris hurled abuses and showed their wrath for poor drainage in the area 

The former primer Shehbaz Sharif public campaign for upcoming general elections took a distasteful turn when his car was stopped by local residents of Lahore having severe grievances over drainage structure (Rohi Nala) in Lahore’s old Kahna area.

The people broke the windshield and hurling abuses at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart.Shehbaz was touring the city in connection with the upcoming elections with the aim of connecting with the people of his constituency. His campaign however, taken over by angry mob who lashed out at the premier.

The former premier took to X, formerly Twitter, to acknowledge the incident.He stated that he met with representatives of the mob that intercepted his vehicle and heard their concerns.

Claiming that he remains committed to resolving the grievances of his vote bank, he said that he assured the representatives of addressing their problems. “Politics is a form of worship in my view,” he wrote.

The protestors said that the former primer Nawaz Sharif was the member of National Assembly from this constituency – NA 132.

The protestors didn’t allow Shehbaz Sharif to pass through after which the former primer took the application regarding the concerns of the locals and called them for the meeting today [Thursday].
