Malala Yousafzai vows support for Gaza

25 April, 2024 11:04

Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafza made her position clear on her social media account regarding ‘supporting the people of Gaza’.

Malala has released an official statement after facing global criticism for working with Nobel laureate Hillary Clinton for her Broadway debut as a co-producer.

“I want to speak today so that there is no confusion about my support for the people of Gaza,” she said, adding that we have all watched with anger and dismay the continued atrocities against the Palestinian people for more than six months. The news of the discovery of mass graves in Gaza’s Nasir and al-Shafa hospitals this week is another reminder of the horrors of the Palestinians.

She added that she has been and will continue to condemn the Israeli government for its violations of international law and war crimes.

“I stand against any form of violence against civilians, including the taking of hostages and prisoners,” she said and that we must work together to demand our leaders to halt these war crimes and hold perpetrators to account.

Malala released a statement condemning the Israeli government for violations of international law and war crimes. The development came after global backlash for her cooperation with Hillary Clinton.
