Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim retires from international cricket

Karachi ; National cricket team all-rounder Imad Wasim has retired from international cricket, effective immediately.

34-year-old Imad Wasim announced his retirement on social media.

“Recently thinking about my international career, I have come to the conclusion that it is the right time to announce my retirement,” he said.

Imad Wasim added that he is thankful to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for their support, it was an honor to represent Pakistan.

He said that representing Pakistan in 121 matches of T20 and ODI was a dream come true.

The all-rounder also said to pray for the start of a good time with new leadership and coaches for Pakistan cricket.

He said that I wish everyone the best, I also thank the fans for their support, I will focus on the next phase of my life away from the international career.

The all-rounder represented Pakistan in 55 ODIs and scored 986 runs with 5 half-centuries while taking 44 wickets.

Imad Wasim has played 66 T20 matches for Pakistan, in which he has scored 486 runs and taken 65 wickets.
